The New Olive Grove

Following the loss of the vineyard in 2008 Richard and Clare decided that there was no option but to remove the badly damaged vines and replace them with an olive grove.

The soil was prepared and 350 olive trees have been planted consisting of the following varieties.

Frantoio 175

Mission 50

Carotina 125

The Mission olives will be for table use and the Frantoio and the Carotina will be pressed for oil, and although we very much want to we are as yet unsure as to whether we will press under our own label.
